War isn’t a joke, or a game.
It isn’t something which happened in the past and then went away.
It isn’t something that will happen in the future when you’re dead so you don’t need to worry.
War is an idea, not an event.
It is the rule of monarchs and corrupt democracies. It is the variety of cults known as “world religions”. It is the reach of global banks and monstrous corporations, it is the zoo, factory farming, human trafficking and it is compulsory “education”.
A war has been raging for over 2000 years, perhaps far longer.
The spoken and written word, the frame of language by which we re-represent the actualities that occur is inherently the most powerful mind-altering occurence, more so than coming into contact with any particular molecule.
The pen is well known to be more mighty than the sword, as the net is mightier than the missile.
Consider the fact that every aspect of the culture you were born into and give allegiance to, has likely been co-opted in order to normalise fascism and dominance, war, human misery, suffering and violence, endless profit, greed, pride, excessive ego and unnecessary death.
I don’t know about you, but I do believe we can dispense with the war-powers of this world and learn to truly balance our polarities, whether they were created by nurture or by nature, and collectively without violent conflict, express whatever form peace may take within each and every glorious individual.
